Wooo! My first emote! AND IT'S A SQUIRREL!! And he has a house because the deviation was too green without it.. ...Bah! Squirrels can have houses!
I have a heightened sense of respect and appreciation for those crazy emoticon artists... I've *always* thought they were amazing, but the sentiment has since tripled. Due to all of the Stamps that I make, I understand that it takes a long time to animate something frame by frame -- but THIS took me FAR too long. And it doesn't even move! After I finished the tree trunk, I started getting lazy on the shading... As it turns out, drawing and shading things one pixel at a time takes a while. 8D Who knew!
I swear, you emoticon artists have the patience of a rock.
--------------------------------- Edit, 20090506: Went back and tried to shade a few things. xD Can't imagine why I'd go and do that. LOL. xD Here's the original for the sake of comparison. Thanks =Ultra-Violet-X.

I was already going to suggest working on the shading while waiting, but... you fixed that already And I must say, the difference is quite noticeable and very much improved. It looks totally natural that there's a tiny squirrel in a random box floating about in space with a little pink house. I'm not being sarcastic, it's totally believeable!
The sheer amount of detail is also frighteningly amazing. I can only imagine how many hours you spent in front of the computer slaving away, trying to get everything pixel perfect.
I love the little shine on the front, it really makes it stand out like the aforementioned "random box in space" that I see.
One thing that sort of bothers me is the space behind the house, around the bottom left corner. It looks like his poor house is sitting directly on the edge of a cliff Just a little green stretch in that area could fix it, but I completely understand if you're too tired to You can get away with it being like that.
Also, the darkest shade on the roof of the house on my right side of the tree seems a little box-ish. I'm not sure if you can fix that easily (I don't do pixel by pixel) but it sort of breaks the fourth wall. (Yes, I'm applying that here xD)
All in all, great work! You should really consider doing emotes
So cute! Great work, it was worth the time and effort. I totally understand ... I mean, look, I never did finish the animated stamp I said I'd do way back in 2007 ... I'm not even sure where the source frames are! I had quite a few done. Oh well! This is far and above anything I've done in pixel art, however, and it's wonderful! Great job, friend. Thank you for sharing!
Graaaa~ Amazing job, shadowed! 8D You really surprised me, and I must say that this is very professional looking and I totally. love. it. ... Makes me want a squirrel home of my own... btw the shading you did really added a lot to it. Wonderful~
