Lol, I know I don't talk about myself very often -- if at all.   Not even when something big or important happens.

But I'll break tradition today, for no reason in particular.  ...besides, I was accused of being an alien, and figured I should do something about that...

So... on Monday, I woke up, went to work for a few hours, then bought a house.  What did you do?  

Lol, I digress:  My mother, sister, and I bought the house.  We are the three home owners on the title.  Wish I could say my dad helped out...

Lololz, I'm going to be sooooo incredibly broke for the next 30 years, though....  xD  With Mortgage Payments to make, and Student Loans to repay, I think I'm going to be living on water and canned tuna for quite some time...  Not to mention if I end up going back to Japan.  

Which brings me to the JET Program, below.







I sent off my application to the JET Programme the other day.  So now I have to sit and wait to hear back from them.  Here's to hoping!  

The JET (Japan Exchange & Teaching) Programme is through the Japanese Embassy.  It takes native speakers of English, and puts them in rural and urban schools in Japan to help teach English.  It sounded like a wonderful opportunity, so I couldn't pass it up.  

And if I don't get in....

When I found out I couldn't apply last year, it hit me harder than I thought it would.  It'd be one thing if I applied and wasn't accepted -- but I wasn't even able to submit an application last year.  When I discovered this, I chose to sulk inwardly rather than enjoy the extra time I was given to wander around.  

Hah, I even picked up reading books for fun of all horrid things to do.  

But...  If I'd been able to apply (and was selected) for the JET Programme last year, we wouldn't have been able to buy this house.  Plus, I doubt I would've discovered the Twilight series, or had the opportunity to be in the movie.  

At times like these, I am a strong believer that everything happens or a reason.    I'll make the most of what comes my way -- maybe I'll even end up in the second Twilight movie, if I don't make it into the JET Program.  Lol.  Who knows.    

Which brings me to... The Twilight Movie, itself!







I was expecting the worst, but the Twilight movie was SO much better than I thought it'd be!    I even saw myself in the background for a fraction of a second!  Wooooo!

HOWEVER!!  Just because I rant and rave over this story does not mean it is good!  LOL, it is cheesy, and sappy, and girly (three ingredients that I do not prefer in my cup of tea).  So don't go to the theatre expecting a grand cinematic performance!  It's not very good when you get down to it.

...but I LOVED it anyway!!!  xD  My "Current Music" is also from the movie:  "Bella's Lullaby" [here]









On December 12th, I'm going to see a Dir en Grey Concert with my sister and a friend of ours.  Woo!


And in early 2009, Wicked (the musical) is coming here and I really want to see it.  I just read the book, too!  It's good!










I suppose I should dedicate a section of this journal to Thanksgiving...

But what *wouldn't* I be grateful for?  There is so much going on right now, and I love all of it!  Every person I meet, and every experience I gain.    And squirrels.
